We're happy to help.

Contact us

Write to us here, or email support@firearmlog.com — both arrive in the same place. Email is the better choice if you want to attach a screenshot or keep a copy of what you sent. Either way, it helps to include your device (for example, "iPhone 15" or "Windows desktop, Chrome") and the app version, shown at the bottom of the Help screen in the app.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

On your own device — no accounts, no servers. Full answer in the FAQ.

How do I move my data to another device?

Save to File on one device, Load from File on the other — through iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or any folder both can see. Step-by-step in the FAQ.

Will I lose my data if I get a new phone?

Not as long as you use Save to File before you switch — that file is your backup. Details in the FAQ.

Can I import my existing records?

Match results come in from a PractiScore export, and classifier scores from a USPSA export. A general spreadsheet importer isn't built yet. More in the FAQ.

Is FirearmLog free?

Right now, yes — it's free while we're still building it, and there are no ads. The calculators and guides on this site stay free no matter what. The app won't always be free: when we set a price it'll be a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Dry-fire logging, match logging, and looking at or exporting everything you've already logged all stay free forever — your logbook is never held back for payment.

Today the app collects nothing at all; when the anonymous “how do I compare?” benchmarks arrive you switch them on yourself, and the usage and crash reports arriving alongside them switch off in one tap — in the EU and EEA the app asks first. The privacy policy spells out both.
